Our last Sunday Post....

Hi families,

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  I participated in a Relay For Life in Virginia and had a couple graduation parties to attend....such a busy time of year.  I am sad that this will be my last Sunday post of the year.  Your children have worked so hard this year...and they are 100% ready to make the transition into 1st grade...1st grade, WOW!!  They are very excited.  Here's what's happening on their last week of kindergarten.....

  • Monday - I will send home the book box your student has been using this year for buddy/independent readying time.  Inside the box will be their poetry journal, math journal, center folder, and writing samples from quarter 1 - quarter 4.  Please be on the look out for these materials!!

  • Tuesday - Grade level awards at 9:15 am.  Every students will receive an award.  I believe we will be calling students by the award rather than the class.

  • Wednesday - Talent Show at 10:30 am, parents are welcome to attend!

  • Wednesday - Following the talent show we will have move up day...where students will be able to meet their 1st grade teacher!

  • Wednesday - Flag lowering ceremony before the 2 hour early dismissal.  Parents are welcome to attend.

  • Wednesday - Ice Cream Social at 4:15 pm!!  I am happy to see that so many family members can attend.  Please remember that you need to stay at the park with your student because it is not a school event.  We will provide the ice cream!  Our ice cream social with be combined with Ms. House's class at the Cobblestone Park.  When you face the school the Cobblestone park in to the left.  2401 Cobblestone Way, turn left onto Independence Way.  Turn Left onto Cobblestone Way.  The park is on the right.
Lastly.....

Dr. Seuss says it best!   I will miss this wonderful group of students.  But it's time for them to move on and continue in their success!

"And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)"

I say....100% guaranteed!

Here are a few pictures from field day...have a super summer!
